The next one is small and handy, only about 550g. The Zoom RT-123 has some years
on its back, but this Drummachine is quite modern. Its ease of use and sound quality
are great.

The sounds in it are mainly rock style, there are 80 Kits in. I dont know the year of
production, if anyone can help with this info, please mail me.

The Machine price is about 150 Euros (about 210 US$ new, if you can get it) and with
a little luck used about 50 Euros (70 US$).

For most of todays Producers in Electronic Music, the Elektron Machinedrum is self-
explanatory. Quality made in Sweden it’s some kind of superpower Drummachine.

With different Synths in it, a 16 Track Sequencer, EFX System, Audio Inputs and
much more, you have more a little Studio than a Drummachine. Simply powerful.
The Machine is actual technology, the price about 1.200 Euros (1.550 US$).

The Cheetah SpecDrum is a little strange thing, born in 1985. It’s a extension module
for a Sinclair ZX Spectrum Homecomputer and converts it into some kind of a Sampler
with a realtime Sequencer (like Fairlight).

Originally it has 8 Drumsounds, loaded from Tape. Later there where additional Tapes
with another 8 sampled Sounds each (Afro, Electro and Latin Sets). For its time in the
mid 80′s the Sound was very good and sounds little like a Linn Drum. The “Machine”
itself cost only a tenth of a “real” Drum Machine.

In 1998 Boss (Boss is a part of Roland Corporation) brought us the Dr. Groove DR-202,
a Drummachine with a lot more functions than a usual Drummachine from the past…

256 different Sounds from various older Roland Machines (like TR-808 and TR-909),
natural Drums / Percussions, LoFi-Sounds, Bass-Sounds (like TB-303), different EFX,
3 Track Sequencer, 24 Voices and resonant Filters… – quite a lot for a small Machine.

In fact it’s Roland, so the Quality of the Machine itself and the Sounds is good.
It’s working area ranges from Hip-Hop and Latin Music over Drum’n'Bass to Techno.

In 1987 the Alesis HR-16A was born, one of the first 16bit Machines that almost
every producer could afford.

The Sounds from this Machine are mainly a Rock-Set. Is has some electronic
Sounsd too, but not very spectacluar. The programming was easy, because not
very many edit functions. Anyway, the Machine is rare and its hard to get one in
good condition.

Today i like to start a series not directly associated with Drumsamples… – Webradio.

I very like Electronic Music, so sporadic i will present (in my opinion) some of the best
Webradios in the World, featuring House, Minimal, Techno, Trance, Drum’n'Bass and similar.
Quality first, and minimum of 128 kbit/s streaming in MP3 format.

This time it’s DeepMix Moscow. Some years ago i found this gem from Russia.
Playing a blend of minimal House and very deep, some times a little trancelike Sounds round
the clock, mixed very smootly. I really love it :-)

The Roland TR-909 is a real classic.  It’s the probably most overused Drum
Machine in history of electronic Music. In the 90′s, it was hard to get some Techno
Music without sounds of this Monster from 1983.
Even today it is hard to find, and you have to spend about 1.500 – 2.000 US$…

It has one of the first hybrid Engines, partly based on Samples in Rom (Hihat,
Cymbal) and another part analogue modelling (Bass, Snare, Clap…)

The Sample Set is about 474 WAV Samples at different bitrates and resolution,

The Millenium MPS-400 is some kind of Simmons retro Drum Kit i think.
It has lots of different Sounds at standard Quality, many natural Drums but some
electronic and EFX too.

Linn Adrenalinn (V1). Yesterday one of my Visitors (he wants to be anonymous) send me a full Set
of Linn Adrenalinn Drum Samples. The Set contains 40 mono WAV Samples at 24bit/44khz.

The sound is pretty rich like we know from the vintage Linn Drum Machines. There are 2 other
Versions (V2 and V3) of this Machine, but i dont know if there are different Samples in it.
If you can offer any Info or new Samples, please contact me.
